Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre Patient Assistance Program
Offers emergency short-term financial assistance for eligible adults receiving treatment at the cancer centre or affiliated regional sites when other funding is unavailable.
Patient completes the current application; forms are available in cancer-centre clinics, pharmacy, inpatient unit and online.

Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre Referral Guidelines
Provides disease-site intake requirements so referring clinicians can complete the necessary diagnostic workup before a patient's first oncology appointment.
Review the relevant disease-site guideline, complete all requested testing and send the current new-patient referral form with reports.

Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre Supportive Care
Provides social work, counselling, nutrition, spiritual care and practical support for patients and families affected by cancer.
Patient may speak with the oncology care team or contact the supportive care office.

Veterans Affairs Canada Health-Related Travel
Reimbursement or transportation support for eligible VAC clients travelling to authorized treatment or rehabilitation.
Treatment must qualify under VAC benefits; pre-authorization may be required.

Short-term financial assistance for eligible victims, immediate family members and witnesses to cover essential expenses arising soon after a violent crime.

Immediate emotional support, practical assistance, information and referrals for victims, families and witnesses affected by crime, tragedy or disaster in St. Thomas and Elgin County.
Self-referral or referral through emergency services. Assistance and referrals are available 24/7; office responds during business hours.

Victim/Witness Assistance Program - St. Thomas
Court-based information, assistance and support for victims and witnesses in criminal cases, including court preparation, case updates and referrals.
Services generally begin after police lay charges and continue until the court case ends. Contact the local office directly.

Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada
Provides publicly funded rehabilitation for people of all ages with vision loss, including low-vision therapy, orientation and mobility, daily-living skills and assistive technology support.
Self, family, community and health-professional referrals are accepted online or by fax.
