London Regional Cancer Program's (LRCP) Referral Guidelines help physicians in the region to determine the types of tests and examinations required prior to a patient’s first visit to LRCP. These tests vary according to the type of cancer and disease site.

Provides outpatient chemotherapy and follow-up close to home through a team of physicians, oncology-trained nurses and pharmacists.

Treatment is ordered by the patient's oncologist and coordinated through the regional cancer program and STEGH unit.

Brings eligible medical oncology consultations and follow-up from the regional cancer program to St. Thomas, reducing travel to London for selected patients.

Access is determined through the regional oncology referral and treatment pathway; not all cancer types or complex cases are suitable for satellite care.

Provides regional medical, radiation and surgical oncology services, chemotherapy, clinical trials and multidisciplinary supportive care for Southwestern Ontario, including Elgin.

Provider referral using the current cancer-site intake guideline and new-patient referral form.

Provides disease-site intake requirements so referring clinicians can complete the necessary diagnostic workup before a patient's first oncology appointment.

Review the relevant disease-site guideline, complete all requested testing and send the current new-patient referral form with reports.
